Outrides & Camping

We are doing outrides on different locations around the lodge. The animals you may see on our own property are giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, ostrich, jackal, nyala, impala, duyker and sables. Our neighbouring property with 600 hectares also has kudu, warthogs, wild dogs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles and leopards. The properties do also have a great variety of birds.

Our property is bordering the Olifants river. We also do rides next to the river and in wintertime we can even ride on the riverbed when the water is low.

The rides can take up to 1-4 hours per ride, it depends on where we are riding and how the weather is. The horses have 1 rest day a week.

Once every 2 weeks we box the horses and go for a swim at the Klaserie dam. We will combine this with a ride and an overnight stay at/around the dam. 

Before every ride we give the horses a good groom. Once a week we are washing saddle pads and cleaning the tack.
